Product details
Few other technological developments have changed and shaped our lives in the last 100 years as profoundly as the automobile, which evolved into a modern means of transportation after its first major deployment during World War I in the 1920s and 1930s. However, at that time, it was still a luxury item of high social status that only a few wealthy individuals could afford. This era of rapidly developing individual transportation before World War II was captured in countless unique Leica photographs by the photography studio Dr. Paul Wolff & Tritschler in Frankfurt, which are unparalleled and document all aspects of road traffic in the 1920s and 1930s, such as the development stages of the automobile, manufacturing, car exhibitions, car advertising, early automobile vacations, and automobile tournaments.
