The early Federal Railways showcased many selected railway rarities. Carl Bellingrodt is the master of railway photography, who, through his tireless creativity, captured these irreplaceable scenes from the immediate post-war period and the still young DB in images. While Germany was still in ruins and the reconstruction was in its infancy, Bellingrodt was already out with his camera along the tracks, at the stations, and in the depots, documenting a unique railway atmosphere.
