Product details

Aurel Kolnai (1900-1973), a German-speaking philosopher of Jewish descent, who rose to prominence in the tradition of the phenomenology of Husserl and Scheler, and taught at the University of Oxford after his exile in North America, achieved late recognition in the analytical philosophy of England with his studies on feelings of aversion. The contributions gathered here on disgust, hatred, and pride reveal an author who playfully overcomes the conventional divide between continental and analytical traditions by meticulously exploring the structure and content of hostile feelings with a phenomenological approach.
