In many business processes, it is necessary for customers or employees to sign legally binding documents. The creation, processing, evaluation, and archiving of such documents lead to long process durations and high costs. Due to the legal equivalence of electronic signatures with handwritten signatures, it has recently become possible to sign documents securely and electronically, for example, through the use of a handwritten electronic signature.
