Abstract: "The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." This quote, in my opinion, aptly describes that a divorce inevitably has consequences on the behavior of the affected children. These consequences can vary in severity depending on the extent of the divorce. I am myself a so-called "child of divorce." My mother has been divorced three times and is now married for the fourth time. My maternal grandparents, as well as my aunts and uncles, have all been divorced at least once. My biological father is now on his third wife. Throughout my youth, I extensively engaged with this topic. I often asked myself questions like: "Am I different?".
