What do you do when you discover that your ancestor was a serial killer? When journalist Katharina Rübchen finds old records on the inherited family farm in Kleinhaulmbach, several problems arise: the villagers fear for long-held secrets, her editor is pushing for the big story, and the anarchistic herd of goats on the farm does whatever it wants. And then there's the veterinarian, who shows much more interest in Katharina than in her four-legged companions.
