Catman is Parzifal. Catman is a hybrid. He was brought forth and brings himself forth. Maman is his protection and shield. However, he does not truly thrive under her roof and cannot find a woman. Maman dies, and Catman embarks on a journey to India, following in her footsteps. At first, he uses up all her ink. During this time, he meets a woman. He calls her Flamingo. Her father has just died in the heart clinic across from his mother's house in Bad Segeberg. She will accompany her father through the various zones of death on the bench in front of Catman's mother's house and wait for Catman. Catman flies to India. There, he studies what it means to be a man. He adopts new parents: Rosa and Mister O'Hara, and is filled with wisdom. It dawns on him that he, like Maman, is an artist. An art house on the Rhine temporarily houses him upon his return from India, but it presents challenges.
