The self-study course "Introduction to Finnish" teaches beginners the basics of the language in 20 engaging lessons, while also providing interesting insights into the country, its people, and culture. Tips for specific learning challenges and guidance on optimal learning strategies accelerate progress. After every four lessons, a test can be taken to assess knowledge. Included in the appendix are a commented answer key, a grammar overview, and a bilingual alphabetical vocabulary list (approximately 500 words). The audio CDs featuring authentic speech help develop listening comprehension and raise awareness of correct pronunciation. A German-language guide for classroom use is available.
