They still exist: the Sauschlägers, a family from the Upper Harz that looks like something out of a storybook. With brazen directness, an unconventional business sense, and a language that some thought was extinct, they navigate their lives. Several years ago, they dug holes on their property for the Russian mafia in exchange for good money, to make unwanted individuals disappear. Now, suddenly, the Federal Criminal Police Office is at their door, searching for a high-ranking official who has vanished without a trace. To make matters worse, a man appears who could be mistaken for a ghost. In this situation, only one person can help them: their old friend Lilly Höschen.
