Erich Ohser, also known as e.o. plauen, captivated millions with his charming and humorous "Father and Son" comic strips. However, few know that Ohser, who had a close friendship and working relationship with Erich Kästner, was no longer allowed to publish freely after 1933, and that his life ended tragically and prematurely with his suicide in 1944. He explored a variety of other forms of expression and left behind a wide spectrum of his artistic work. In close proximity to the extensive estate of the Erich Ohser - e.o.plauen Foundation, a comprehensive edition of his works was created, which presents the multifaceted oeuvre of the artist, who primarily worked with ink and pencil, in a well-researched and up-to-date manner while also being visually engaging: from observations made with a drawing pencil to illustration art, graphic design, and press drawings.
