Competencies in geometry are significant not only due to their mathematical content but also because they promote general intelligence. The book "Experiencing Elementary Geometry - A Workbook for Independent and Active Discovery" is aimed at teacher education students and educators at all school levels, from primary to secondary education. It provides an opportunity for a geometry course that is not based on mathematical systematics but rather on the elementary experiences of the learners. Starting from simple insights gained through experimental approaches, mathematical knowledge is acquired and integrated into existing knowledge. In this regard, the course offers a model for successful geometry teaching.
