The Eurocode 5 for Germany is a consolidated and commented version of DIN EN 1995-1-1, which brings together and explains all the regulations relevant to Germany from Eurocode 5, Part 1-1, and the National Annex. Text passages that do not apply in Germany have been removed, allowing the scope to be minimized. Since many regulations from DIN 1052 have been incorporated into the National Annexes of Eurocode 5, this consolidated version significantly facilitates planning practice. The provisions from the various documents are now clearly presented in one place. The comments provided in a separate margin column offer background information and guidance for application in engineering practice.
