The political promotion of public childcare services for children under three years old is primarily discussed in terms of affordability, but mostly with a focus on the societal significance of non-family childcare. This book aims to contribute to the discussion of public care for children under three years old. In recognition of historical and societal developments, the understanding of early educational quality should not be limited to the framework conditions, but rather direct attention towards the theoretical and practical possibilities of "education from birth.".
