Diagnostics in Multilingualism. ESGRAF-MK offers a software-supported diagnostic language screening for five important migrant languages in Germany: Turkish, Russian, Polish, Italian, and Greek. The screening checks whether children aged 4 to 10, who are acquiring German as a second language, have language acquisition difficulties in their native language. This is done using approximately 20 test items for the acquisition of early grammatical rules in each respective mother tongue. The unique feature: Test administrators do not need to be proficient in the migrant languages themselves. The accompanying software on CD-ROM includes audio instructions in the respective languages. Immediately after conducting the screening, the evaluation protocol can be printed.
