The book contains the first comprehensive presentation of Adorno's unwritten philosophy of morality based on unpublished material from the Adorno Archive. The Adorno Handbook from 2011 emphasizes that ethics after Auschwitz reconstructs the question of the conditions that prevent a successful life as a central issue for Adorno. It is elaborated here that Adorno has his own moral philosophical approach that revolves around a third perspective beyond rational universalism and moral experience, which he seeks to develop through the mutual critique of these extremes.
