Brecht's War Primer is the great anti-war book. It was first published in 1955, a year before his death, by Eulenspiegel Verlag and has since appeared in many countries. This new, sixth edition is published by Barbara Brecht-Schall. She recalls the creation of the book and how her father began collecting excerpts from newspapers in Danish exile, commenting on these visual documents with verses.
