Product details
Atomvulkan Golkonda was first published in 1959 and tells the story of a perilous expedition to Venus, depicted through a typical narrative of flight preparations, which still captivates readers today, especially due to its realistic character portrayals in tragic situations. The debut novel by the Strugatsky brothers marks the beginning of a diverse and expansive world design that extends into the 23rd century and has become known as the World of Noon. Very successful in the 1960s, the novel later spent a long time overshadowed by newer works by the Strugatskys; however, it has experienced a renaissance since the release of an uncensored and unedited version reconstructed from the manuscripts in 1993. This German edition has been aligned with that version and is being completed.
