It is now undisputed: there is a transgenerational legacy - burdens of long-forgotten events that still cast a shadow over the lives of the children and grandchildren. Prominent representatives of the "war grandchildren" generation demonstrate the answers they have found to the challenges of their biography and family history: they are the children and grandchildren of NS perpetrators, refugees and displaced persons, front-line soldiers of the German Wehrmacht, and survivors of the bombing war.
