Europa in vollen Zügen
German, Mady Host, 2015Product details
With her home on her back, travel writer Mady Host initially tours alone, then with her friend Cornelia, traveling by train through Europe. In six weeks, the two young women experience six countries in Europe to the fullest. Heavy rain lashes against the train windows, obscuring the view of stunning landscapes. Yet, regardless of the weather, the train glides peacefully through deep green gorges, taking our author from one location to the next. In the Czech Republic, Mady Host contemplates which nation brews the best beer, in Austria she lets Viennese blood pulse through her veins, and in Slovenia, she is led by locals to remote corners. Together with her travel companion Cornelia, she camps in the heart of Venice and pitches a tent above the rooftops of Cannes.
