Product details
Lodz, summer of 1919: The war veteran Gabriel Dan settles into the 7th floor of the giant Savoy Hotel. The upper floors are inhabited by the poor, who pawn their suitcases for rent, while the wealthy live lavishly on the lower floors. Young girls who can no longer afford the rent must present themselves naked to the wealthy in the bar. More and more war veterans flood into the Polish industrial city, exploited workers protest violently, and the situation is hopeless. The arrival of a mysterious American billionaire, for whom Gabriel works, does nothing to change the catastrophic conditions. Eventually, a popular uprising breaks out, revolutionaries storm the Savoy, and the hotel catches fire.
