Product details

Maxim Gorky (1868-1936) is the most significant representative of naturalism in Russian literature and was the most popular author in his country after the October Revolution, in which he actively participated on the side of the Bolsheviks. In the tragicomedy "Children of the Sun," which premiered in 1905, he depicts a group of young people who are completely absorbed in their dreams, plans, and passions, living as if on a foreign planet. It is only when a cholera epidemic breaks out in the city and a lynch mob invades the house of the "Children of the Sun" that their dream world shatters.
