Product details
The equally driven and innocent-looking Lulu seduces anyone who can be useful for her rise, while simultaneously ruining men one after the other. However, seemingly having reached the top in Paris, her downfall begins. Having sunk to becoming a street prostitute in London, her fate is sealed when she encounters Jack the Ripper. Frank Wedekind's most famous drama to this day was created in two parts: the first is the play "Erdgeist," which premiered in 1898, and the second is "Die Büchse der Pandora" from 1904. It wasn't until 1913 that Wedekind combined both parts under the title "Lulu"; in this version, the third act of "Erdgeist" and the first act of "Die Büchse der Pandora" are missing. The present volume contains the complete text of both plays.
