Product details
Mata Hari made a name for herself as an exotic dancer and stage artist even before World War I. However, she gained worldwide fame when she was sentenced to death by a French military court in July 1917 for espionage on behalf of the Germans. Carrillo traces the life story of this woman, from her childhood in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, to her execution in the Polygon of Vincennes. The author's portrayal is complemented by accounts from people who knew Mata Hari personally.
