Product details
The Apostle Barnabas is one of the significant figures in the history of early Christianity. He was deeply rooted in the community of Jerusalem as well as in Antioch. Barnabas was one of the first to actively promote the preaching of the Gospel among the Gentiles and went on missionary journeys. At the same time, he played a crucial role in reconciling Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians. However, much of this is largely unknown, as his theological and cultural mediating position led him to remain in the shadow of Paul and Peter. This new volume in the series 'Biblical Figures' helps to illuminate the sponsor of the early church, the leader of the Antioch community, and tireless missionary, highlighting the traces he has left in the memory of Christianity.
