An attractive democratic culture is not a given. Rather, the significance and quality of democratic values and norms must be continually made comprehensible and tangible. But what measures are suitable for this purpose, and which are not? How can the effectiveness of programs and projects be optimized? How can it be ensured that existing knowledge is utilized in the design of programs and projects? The contributing authors provide answers to these questions. One focus is on the methodological and practical aspects of evaluation. Additionally, the largely undiscussed fundamental consequences of evaluation activities for democratic culture and modern society are also explored.
