At the end of the 20th century, a bloody civil war shook the Balkans. Its traces are still unmistakable. The Balkans are in a state of upheaval, and to this day, the peaceful coexistence of the Serbian, Croatian, and Bosniak Muslim ethnic groups has not been permanently established. Six German and two Bosnian authors attempted to explore the theme "The Other Within Us" during a workshop on the Croatian peninsula of Peljesac. The result is this anthology, published in two languages in 2008, which is now being reissued here as part of the Literature Caravan edition.
