Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) refers to the conceptual extension of entrepreneurial thinking and action to existing companies and is often captured through the construct of entrepreneurial orientation (EO). Based on an extensive theoretical analysis and a large empirical study, Christoph Stöckmann investigates whether the explanatory power of the entrepreneurial orientation construct can be enhanced by additionally considering an opportunity orientation. He also analyzes whether performance differences between companies can be better explained when the relationship is expanded to include mediating influences in the form of exploratory and exploitative innovation activities.
