The external application management aims to professionally organize application systems based on services or components. In light of an expanding service market and trade, this research area of information management is also gaining economic significance. Jörg Lonthoff examines the lifecycle-oriented management of component-based, mobile application systems. Considering related works and focusing on external application management, he constructs a marketplace concept for the mobile trade of (software) components. The author pays particular attention to a mobile-capable design and presents a prototypical implementation of the reference marketplace with mobiCOMP, a mobile marketplace for trading (software) components.
