The author Hugo Prinz (January 8, 1883 in Stettin; March 19, 1934) was a German ancient historian. In 1908/09, he received the travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute. On October 25, 1910, he completed his habilitation in Breslau. From November 1, 1911, to March 1, 1913, he was a research assistant at the excavations of the German Oriental Society. In this volume, he describes the symbols of the Egyptian and Old Babylonian cultural spheres. Illustrated with 112 black-and-white images on 15 plates. Reprint of the original edition from 1915.
