Philippus Theophrastus Aureolus Bombastus von Hohenheim, baptized as Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim (probably 1493 in Egg, Canton Schwyz; 24 September 1541 in Salzburg), called Paracelsus, was a physician, alchemist, astrologer, mystic, lay theologian and philosopher.
