The commercial law principles of proper accounting (GoB), which also shape the tax balance sheet, and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) form the central frameworks of accounting in Germany. This book systematically and case-orientedly conveys both accounting systems. After an introductory case, 13 cases from the areas of asset recognition, liability recognition, and valuation illustrate the key differences. For the 10th edition, cases 1, 4, 5, and 9 have been redesigned, while all other cases have been updated and supplemented with the latest jurisprudence and literature.
