The ongoing globalization also affects insurance law. The impacts are clearly visible and lead to a continuous transformation of the insurance landscape. Since each country has its own legal framework and the goal is to provide customers with uniform, seamless protection, international insurance is a complex topic. Both academia and practice are repeatedly faced with challenges. Against this backdrop, addressing cross-border insurance issues is inevitable and is gaining increasing importance.

This work includes contributions on current developments in European jurisdiction law for insurance matters, as well as regulatory and supervisory questions. Additionally, relevant practical case studies are analyzed. Alongside the presentation of specific claims cases, the design and handling of international insurance programs are systematically explained.
