The teaching material is characterized primarily by a clear and convincing didactic profile: the double-page principle. Each chapter begins with an introductory double page, which is designed in a varied manner, connecting to the students' everyday lives through images, cartoons, etc., thereby helping to inductively explore the corresponding topic area. All sub-aspects of the topic areas or standard areas are presented throughout on double pages. The materials on each double page – texts, cartoons, comics, images – revolve around a central problem-oriented question.
