Product details
Tai Chi was originally developed as a Chinese martial art, but it is performed very slowly. Soft movements with poetic names flow into one another, creating a kind of choreography when executed in succession. The exercises are consistently performed with deeply bent knees and a very straight back, which strengthens the core muscles. Additionally, the exercises activate the nervous system, helping to release internal tensions. At the same time, the complex sequence of movements requires full concentration, giving the practice a meditative quality. This book provides an overview of Tai Chi.
