The first volume on planning and calculation includes the following topics: regulations for pipelines, planning, general planning principles, plant- and function-related planning requirements, the influence of the fluid on planning, flow and thermal calculations, strength calculations, static calculations for above-ground pipelines, calculations for buried pipelines, noise protection for pipelines, as well as standards and rules.
