Product details

On the eastern edge of the Alps lies a fascinating ski touring area that is unique in its diversity and variety throughout the Alpine region. Light tours for beginners, gourmet tours for connoisseurs, and thrilling steep descents for specialists are evenly distributed across the different mountain ranges. It is no wonder that these ski touring destinations are becoming increasingly popular, with the number of ski tourers rising year by year between Vienna, Linz, and Graz. This work describes 175 ski tours along with variations in 15 regions and sets new standards in alpine literature. The innovative presentation combines the classic content of a tour guidebook with the modern tools of an internet portal, which offers much more than just stored graphics and images. It provides users with a deeper insight into each tour and allows for personalized handling for sustainable and professional tour planning. Additionally, all tours are complemented by extensive 2D and 3D maps, slope inclination maps, GPS tracks, interactive representations, and photo impressions. All information about the respective tours can be printed in the form of high-quality tour sheets (texts, maps, etc.). Furthermore, the content is also available in a mobile version for phones and smartphones, enabling quick access "on the mountain." All routes have been personally explored, researched, and documented by the two authors in the past winters, ensuring the accuracy of the data and the current assessment of the tours. Readers will be able to trust the reliability of the content and benefit from the insider knowledge of the authors.
