The images from the painterly cosmos of Filip Zorzor (born 1974 in Bucharest, lives and works in Berlin) are syntheses of the perceived and the sensitively felt. They are paintings of human existence, socially, politically, sonically, and sensually. It is always about the optical-emotional totality in terms of high experiential intensity. The works are not mere representations but reach a very individual visual language through painting-immanent questions. The artistic process becomes visible through overlays, transformations, and drawings in the images. Overflowing grids and vegetable forms create a distinctly non-objective complex space of abstraction. The thoughts on which his ideas are based, the resistances they had to overcome, are made visible by Zorzor in his irritating manner.
