Financial mathematics is an integral part of the foundational material in economics. A new impetus for engaging with this traditional field is likely to stem from the increasing prevalence of personal computers. The aim of this book is to introduce the fundamentals of financial mathematics while placing the tool function of the personal computer at the forefront. The book includes a diskette containing the software product nma, which is designed as a Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) program. CAL is characterized by a well-structured task and tool environment.
