We use language daily in the form of fixed thoughts through letters. Yet few can answer the questions: Why are there uppercase and lowercase letters? Where does our letter form come from? What evolutionary development has it undergone? Why was the alphabet not simply "from A to Z" in the past? How can someone pull a "X for a U" on you? Why does the letter Z exist? And what does our alphabet have to do with an ox? This small abecedarium focuses on the linearity of the development history, which is explained by the transformation of usage conditions, societal needs, aesthetic demands, and the development of new writing materials and tools.
