The automotive industry is increasingly demanding a reduction in investment costs as well as a significant flexibilization of production. In this work, an approach was developed in which the transport system of vehicle final assembly is substituted by self-driving vehicle chassis. The actuators necessary for autonomous driving are represented by standard vehicle components. The sensors required for autonomous driving are integrated into the infrastructure.
