The two Austrian biologists Karl Wilhelm von Dalla Torre (1850 - 1928) and Ludwig von Sarnthein (1861 - 1914) studied the local flora in Tyrol, Vorarlberg, and Liechtenstein at the end of the 19th century. They compiled their own observations as well as the observations and information provided to them about the local plant life in the work presented here. This volume is the first part of the third volume and focuses specifically on the fungi occurring in the region. It is a reprint of the long out-of-print original edition from 1903.
