Twenty years ago, on July 1, 2002, two airplanes collided in the sky over Überlingen. 71 people lost their lives in this tragedy. Their names are inscribed at the memorial in Überlingen-Brachenreuthe on two plaques at the site where large debris fell from the sky. Grief and joy always go hand in hand - two sides of our existence. When we helped the relatives and friends of the victims 20 years ago, we could not even imagine that this would lead to a years-long friendship. In this collection, we provide small examples of the friendships that have developed on both sides. These are just small grains from a large harvest. At the same time, they offer an astonishing example of what can emerge from a terrible disaster.
