Read! Read! offers worksheets for the 3rd grade. The materials promote and challenge comprehension and meaning extraction. They are designed not only to create encounters with and access to texts but also to encourage individual responses from the students. The reading material provided covers a wide range of content. Light-hearted stories are found alongside problem-oriented texts, realistic content next to imaginative narratives. Literary short forms offer space for many types of texts within these templates: poem, ballad, fable, fairy tale, anecdote, and other short prose. At the end of the materials, there is a more extensive discussion that the children are to compile into an A5 booklet. This creates motivation for "active" reading even outside of classroom time.
