It is necessary to encourage and make investments in corporate sustainability, particularly in social sustainability, in private long-term care facilities to improve the performance of these organizations at a time when this market is expanding against the backdrop of an aging population and the resource scarcity of the national health service in Portugal. To achieve good organizational performance, companies should therefore act strategically and serve as a motivational engine for employees by providing them with opportunities for personal, cultural, and professional development.
