Research on violence in intimate relationships and sexual violence faces particular methodological challenges if it aims to avoid reproducing exclusions and creating artifacts. This includes issues such as access to respondents, ethical requirements, and the empirical capture of the research subject. The volume conveys fundamental knowledge about designing research processes on violence based on the long-standing practical experiences of the authors and presents proven strategies for standardized and qualitative studies, as well as for the socio-psychological and historical analysis of violence. A key focus is on interviewing children.
