Product details

Paul Albert Leitner explores many themes within his photographic work. As a documentarian, storyteller, and observer, the photographer circles around the theme of "advertising" in his new book project. During previous travels and city trips, Leitner encountered seductive, turbo-capitalist, nostalgically romantic billboards everywhere. He found these motifs in Europe and its post-socialist fringes, in the Hispanic world, in the urban landscape of New York, and in the American South. Leitner attempts to visually highlight the magic or surrealism of various presentations of advertising. He liberates the facades from their imposed clarity and restores their ambiguity. Paul Albert Leitner, born in 1957 in Jenbach, Austria, lives and works in Vienna.
