From February 2012 to December 2015, I documented the construction of the S10 expressway with my analog large-format camera. Since I live at the northern end of the S10, it was natural for me to explore this story. I chose to use the plate camera because this type of landscape photography requires a certain slowness and precision. In the images, I aim to maintain a certain distance from the construction site. The exact perspective from the outside is important to me. How does the project affect the landscape, the villages, the settlements, the city (Freistadt), and the people? Kurt Hörbst.
