Austrian artist Peter Dressler has significantly influenced Austrian photography since the 1970s as a photographer, academy teacher, collector, and critical participant in the art scene. This volume was created in connection with Dressler's major retrospective at the Kunsthaus Wien from November 2016 to March 2017. The book brings together his photographic life's work, starting with little-known images of Vienna from the 1970s to his later existential and often wonderfully humorous performative series featuring himself as both actor and director.
