Francesco Neri: Trophies and Treasure: Born in 1982 in Faenza, Northern Italy, Francesco Neri opens a personal family album here, a treasure chest full of images that reflect as much about life itself, its quiet and special, if not magical moments, the transition from one generation to the next, as they do the photographer's questions about his medium. When he moved into his deceased grandparents' apartment in 2008, he encountered familiar rooms and objects that he captured in interior and still life photographs. They seemed to recapitulate the past, to reflect the passage of time, transforming it while simultaneously being fascinated by the question of how one's personal perception has developed or continues to evolve. His grandfather was already a doctor and, as was customary in the region at that time, also a hunter.
