Product details
Psychiatry and logistics - two fields that seem to have no points of intersection at first glance. In psychiatry, in-depth conversations within highly asymmetrical communication constellations stand in stark contrast to the electronic high-speed communication in logistics. However, the specialized languages of both areas reveal surprising similarities in language behavior and the occurrence of Anglicisms. Nancy Hadlich combines corpus-based analyses with detailed expert interviews in her empirical study, allowing her to examine not only qualitative and quantitative aspects of borrowing processes but also the acceptance of English language components in the specialized languages of German by native-speaking experts.
